Experimenting with the quilt technique allows me to sculpt and draw with fabric and thread, whilst exploring the effects of light on the tactile surface. I feel a strong affinity with the tradition of Welsh and Northumberland wholecloth quilters, whose work depended wholly on the use of the stitch.
